Testing & Commissioning
We have Senior Authorised Personnel (SAP) staff available to undertake a variety of tasks and duties on IDNO and Private networks. We operate to the applicable Distribution Safety Rules for each project with a Safety First approach. Extensively experienced and fully trained, our senior authorised personnel are authorised for electrical installation and electrification projects up to 33kV. We operate to planned projects or respond to outages to get you back online. This can provide your staff with the safety and support they need to keep you on track when you need it most.
Cable Works
Haddon Power Services delivers reliable, high-quality cable services through our dedicated team. Our expertise in cable jointing and terminations spans LV-33kV on UKPN, WPD, and SSE networks, with a proven track record on DNO adopted networks. Our jointing team stays updated with regular refresher courses, ensuring we stay at the forefront of industry changes. We handle internal and external cable pulls meticulously to prevent costly damages. With years of experience in internal cable pulls and distribution within buildings, we possess the equipment and knowledge for top-notch installations, even on challenging projects, utilizing tray, ladder, or Firemac trunking systems.
Laterals & Risers
Taking the ownership and operation away from the local DNO, it is extremely popular amongst the large house builders. It allows them to sell multiple assets to an adopting IDNO with a quick turn-around compared to multiphase housing sites. With challenging internal and vertical cable pulls which many ICPs are less keen to approach, Haddon Power have an enviable track record of working with the design, site and electrical teams to overcome pitfalls to ensure a professional installation. We can also incorporate design, specification and installation of containment systems for substations and switch rooms to ensure cables are properly supported and secured within the building.
Firemac
Firemac is an industry leading fire protection product used in the commercial and utility sectors. It is commonly utilized for fire and blast protection in substations, cable containment, ducting systems, and fire walls. Haddon Power is an accredited installer of Firemac, working closely with their team to offer tailored solutions to our clients’ requirements. We frequently use Firemac FM Blue to construct cable containment systems and substation ceilings that comply with fire and building regulations.

At Haddon Power Services, our cable jointing teams possess extensive training and experience in all types of networks across the UK. This diverse exposure enables us to offer valuable advice and solutions to clients who may be unfamiliar with specific areas. Specializing in cable jointing services for both low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) cables up to 33kV, we demonstrate expertise in various cable types, ranging from traditional paper insulated lead-covered cables (PILCSWA, PILCSTA, MIND) to modern XLPE and EPR triplex cables, whether screened or armoured.
